Who is Eligible?
First Nation, Metis and Inuit Youth Groups and individuals ages 12-35 are eligible to apply.
Applicants are required to speak to their Indigenous Identity and Community.

What projects can be funded?
To apply your project should meet the requirements below:
- Your project is led by a passionate and committed Indigenous youth (ages 12-35) who live in Ontario
- Your project will contribute to a healthy community, having meaningful benefits to people and the environment
- Your project will benefit a community in Ontario
- You have identified the resources needed to successfully complete the project including financial and other types of support
- You are looking for funds between $1000 - $5000 *If you can make a strong case, projects can request up to $10 000 (the review team and youth advisors will take it into consideration).
- You are open to participating in the OIYPP annual gathering to learn from and with other youth led projects, supporters and mentors
- You are willing to work with a charitable home. This means that you have an organization that has a registered charity number or qualified donee status that will receive your grant on your behalf.
- If you don't have one, don't let it stop you! We have solutions which can support those who would like to lead their own projects independently.
How can Youth Groups and Individuals apply?
Application questions will be available on our website www.oiypp.ca on February 1st, 2025.
Applications must be received by March 31st, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET to be considered.
